THE HOKA DIFFERENCE - RUNNING SHOES MADE BY RUNNERS

THE HOKA DIFFERENCE - RUNNING SHOES MADE BY RUNNERS

While the minimalist trend was in full frenzy, we were winning mountain trail races and ultra marathons in our crazy-looking shoes. The smirks at midsoles twice the thickness of other running shoes soon turned to "ahas", as runners tried HOKA ONE ONE and felt the difference. Light and surefooted during a race, with more cushioning at the end, HOKA makes runners feel like they’re gliding over the ground.
Here’s why…

THE MARSHMALLOW, ROCKING CHAIR AND BUCKET SEAT TECHNOLOGIES

MARSHMALLOW: SUPER THICK, LIGHT AND WIDE MIDSOLE

Maximum cushioning and minimal weight provides unique comfort and stability.

    • Excellent shock absorption.
    • Supreme comfort.

    META-ROCKER GEOMETRY (THE ROCKING CHAIR)

Our Meta-Rocker midsole with its low heel to toe differential and sculpted outsole propels you forward, while encouraging
    your natural running gait.

    • Supports natural running gait.
    • Gives a smooth roll from impact to toe-off.

ACTIVE FOOT FRAME (THE BUCKET SEAT)

With HOKA your foot sits deep in the midsole rather than on top of it. This means inherent
stability for all types of runners, without the constraints or weight of extra support material.

    • Integrated stability.
    • Adaptability to a wide range of feet and running styles.

When I first found this section [of the Tunnel Trail], it was by accident. I got lost and was trying to find my way back down. I was going downhill and was like, ‘What is this? There’s no way someone can run this.’ The whole thing just seemed unfathomable. So I just walked down,” she says. “I tried to run a few parts, but said to myself, ‘This is stupid. I could fall.’ After that, I realized I needed to be able to run it. And I told myself the day that I could run that section is the day that I would’ve really started getting trail running.

For 50 weeks of the year, Roth is a small, quiet town in the Bayern region of Germany. It’s about a 30-40minutes drive from Nuremberg, where you can fly into. Or there are the larger airports of Munich and also Frankfurt that are only a few hours away.

Race Review: T42-24km- National Park NZ

      June 29, 2018

The road back into shape has been quite a roller coaster of a journey for me. I have never been this out of shape before and my body just felt so weak and foreign to me after his birth. The concept of having to start from so far away from where I used to be and from where I wanted to be was quite overwhelming and despite trying to be very careful and smart about rebuilding, with very little sleep and hours of sitting around breastfeeding, I ended up having a few issues with my back and knees that have made the process even slower then I imagined it would be.
